This essential first-timer’s guide to DisneySea Tokyo with kids covers 21 must-know tips before you go, as well as the easiest place to buy Tokyo DisneySea tickets with a discount.

Although this Japanese theme park is a completely different experience to Disneyland Tokyo, it still is very kid-friendly. Our 2 and 4-year old could go on most of the rides, save for some of the more extreme ones, which only made up about 5 of 20-something rides the park is home to.

The most important tip you should get out of this video is to use your Tokyo DisneySea Fast Passes effectively. We show you exactly how in the video and how to maximise on them so you won’t be standing in queue for some of the most popular DisneySea rides for hours on end.

At DisneySea Tokyo, some of the most popular rides include Toy Story Mania!, Journey to the Centre of the Earth and the Tower of Terror. So, be sure to snag Fast Passes for those.

Since all of our family-friendly guides cover Tokyo with kids, we show theme parks in Japan from a kid-friendly perspective. Although many people will tell you that DisneySea is better for older kids and adults, we beg to differ. It still is completely small kid-friendly, particularly the rides. The only difference between DisneySea and Disneyland is that the latter will have more characters and themes that small kids will recognise.

That being said, this has been our absolutely favourite theme park out of all of the ones we visited on our Japan family holiday.
